In this session, Chris Speights will be lecturing about Architecture for Safety and Reliability and will include a question-and-answer session.     


Chris Speights, VP Engineering - Chief Engineer Vertical Lift, Boeing Defense, Space & Security / Engineering  


Chris is responsible for the performance and execution of all engineering activities across the BDS Vertical Lift division including the AH-64 Apache, CH-47 Chinook, V-22 Osprey, MH-139 Gray Wolf, and the AH-6 Little Bird.  


Chris has a diverse background in Chief Engineering, Program Management, and Engineering Functional Leadership at Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and Honeywell Aerospace. Prior to joining Boeing in 2024, Chris served as the Director of Integrated Engineering at Sikorsky. He was responsible for the strategy, planning, and execution of aircraft integration, support, modernization, and development. Other key roles include leading Sikorsky Mission Systems, the international Black Hawk as a PM and Chief Engineer, and multiple roles at Honeywell Aerospace working F-22, B787, and A350 in both engineering and program management.
